Bridging careers.
Rebuilding lives.
We are a small non-profit organisation that partners with leading companies to offer paid full-time 12-week internships for recently arrived refugees and asylum seekers who are restarting their professional careers in Australia.
These internships provide local experience and networking opportunities, helping to overcome common barriers to professional employment. The internships can commence at any point during the year, after participants have successfully completed the preparation stages of the CareerSeekers program.
Internship opportunities are available in fields such as construction, engineering, accounting, finance, business administration, HR, IT, and project management/delivery.
Please note, we are not a recruitment firm and cannot assist those outside our charitable scope.
The program is currently open to experienced professionals from refugee backgrounds who meet all the below criteria:
✓ Arrived in Australia within the last 4 years and are on a humanitarian visa or applying for humanitarian protection (XA 866 visa);
✓ Have attained at least a bachelor's degree from a university overseas;
✓ Have at least 2 years overseas professional experience;
✓ Have not worked professionally in Australia for more than 3 months; and
✓ Have English language proficiency suitable for a professional workplace.
Please note that our program does not offer internships for the following professions: translation, teaching, pharmacy, medical doctor, dentistry, allied health (e.g. nursing, counseling, aged care, disability support), lawyer, or graphic design. If you are seeking roles in these professions, our program is not suitable for you.
Our Mid-Career Program is currently full. However, you can register your interest and we will notify you when we begin a new intake for 2025.
