Hilda is originally from Iraq. She studied a Bachelor of Science (Applied Computing and IT) at the University of Kurdistan before commencing a government role as an IT officer.
After six months, however, Hilda followed her passion for finance. She spent the next three years as an accounts clerk at an oil company until, in 2015, she fled to Jordan with her parents, brother and sister. They waited two years before receiving a protection visa for Australia, and arrived in April 2017.
In July 2017, Hilda started an internship with CommInsure (CBA’s insurance arm), and she has now secured a permanent role with CommInsure as a teleclaims consultant.
